Jung In Sun plays Yoo Ah Young, a publishing firm employee with dreams of writing novels. She puts her life on the line to save her crush, Song Woo Bin, who is the victim of a serial murderer, after being ensnared in a book. Her bravery and commitment to the people she loves are on full display in her resolve to save him.
Lee Ji Hoon plays the role of Song Woo Bin, a guy whose life is interrupted by a book. Upon accepting an author’s request to examine an enigmatic book, he finds himself unexpectedly targeted by a serial murderer in his capacity as head of a publishing house.
The serial murderer Park Hyun Joo, played by Kim Jae Kyung, is famous for attracting victims with her stunning good looks. She is beckoned to live in the world of the narrative by her powerful and alluring charm. Cheon Mun Hwan, played by Jung Jin Woon, comes from a rich family and has everything he needs, except love. His love with Yoo Ah Young grows into an obsession. Cheon Mun Hwan decides to join the police force after finding out that Yoo Ah Young finds diligence in a partner. As a character in the plot, he adds another layer of complexity by taking it upon himself to track out the creator of the enigmatic work.
