New Delhi: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is known for his choice of characters, has taken it forward in his upcoming film ‘Haddi’. In the motion poster launched on August 23, the actor can be seen cross-dressed as a woman. The poster has left the fans intrigued about the plot of the film.

The motion poster shows a warehouse where the credit titles for the film appear. The camera then pans to Nawazuddin who can be seen dressed as a femme fatale. Dressed in a silver shimmery dress with hair cut short, the actor looks nearly unrecognisable. An iron rod with blood stains can also be seen placed near him. With Akshat Ajay Sharma directing the film and Nawazuddin playing the protagonist with an iron road (also a reference to ‘Raman Raghav 2.0), it is expected to be a nuanced crime drama.
As per the official description, Haddi is a ‘noir revenge drama’. According to reports, the shooting for the film will begin soon and it will be shot around western Uttar Pradesh, including Noida and Ghaziabad.
Talking about his new avatar, the actor said that he has played different interesting characters before but Haddi is unique and special. He added that his never-seen-before look will help him to push as an actor. Earlier, Nawazuddin changed his look completely to play a detective in ‘Mom’.
Writer and director Akshat Ajay Sharma is known for his dialogue writing in ‘Major’ and he was also the second unit director ‘AK VS AK’ and ‘Sacred Games’. The film is being produced under the banner of Zee Studios and Anandita Studios.
