Hindi version of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise: OTT release postponed; Know why

The movie even stood out in the Hindi belt despite theatres serving movies like ‘83’ and ‘Spiderman: No Way Home.’

New Delhi: Pushpa: The Rise has performed exceptionally well at the box office all across India. Apart from the engaging storyline, Allu Arjun’s performances grabbed the attention of the people from the very beginning. The movie even stood out in the Hindi belt despite theatres serving movies like ‘83’ and ‘Spiderman: No Way Home.’ This has made the producers push the release of the Hindi dubbed version of the film on the OTT platform.

Since Allu Arjun’s received appraisal from corners of India, even in the majority of Hindi-speaking states, the producers decided to push the release date of the Hindi version of Pushpa. According to a source, “Seeing that the Hindi version has already crossed around Rs 80 crores and considering Allu Arjun’s popularity, the producers of Pushpa, decided to request Amazon Prime Video to shift the date of Hindi dubbed version after one week of its actual release on their platform.”

Sukumar’s directorial made a theatrical release on December 17, 2021, whereas the Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise was set to stream on January 14 on Amazon Prime Video.

Pushpa: The Rise features Allu Arjun in the lead role with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles. The film has crossed Rs 325 crore and made Rs 326.6 crore worldwide. The movie has been directed by Sukumar and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar.
