“I have so many expenses…”: Salman Khan on getting Rs 1000 crore fee for Bigg Boss 16

“This time the game is different because Bigg Boss is part of the competition. This season will be different”

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Salman Khan is all set to bring yet another season of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 16 to the silver screen soon. The actor during an event on Tuesday night revealed the first contestant of the show – Abdu Rozik.

While addressing a press conference post the event in Mumbai, Khan further cleared up the air about him receiving a fee of Rs 1000 crore for the upcoming season of the show.

When asked if the rumours of charging this whopping amount are true, the actor came up with a classy reply and said, “If I get this amount, I will not work in my life… Those Rs 1,000 crore, I was rumoured to be getting this year, I was about to return the money I never got in the first place. So, Colors will be in complete profit”.

“If I am getting this price, I have so many expenses, like the fees of the lawyers. Here Salman earns, here Salman gives. It comes, it goes. There is income tax… The ED (Enforcement Directorate) also notices that and they come. They know the truth”, he was quoted as saying by the news agency PTI.

Sharing his experience of being associated with the show for a long period he said, “It’s been 12 years now, it’s been a long time. I am used to it. I like the game, there is a lot to learn. You get to meet so many people. You protect the ones who are being bullied and bully the one who bullies. In those four months, we develop a bond”.

“I don’t know what will happen. Whatever will happen will be good. This time the game is different because Bigg Boss is part of the competition. This season will be different, fast and unpredictable”, he added.

Notably, Khan has been hosting Bigg Boss since 2010. Apart from him, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, actress Shilpa Shetty and actor Arshad Warsi have also hosted the reality TV in the past.
