New Delhi: Actor Sonam Bajwa recently opened up about working with Shehnaaz Gill and the alleged competition between them. The two actors worked in ‘Honsla Rakh’ starring Diljit Dosanjh, which led to a buzz around a sense of competition between the two. Talking to Siddharth Kannan, Bajwa cleared the air and shared her experience of working with Shehnaaz.
Sonam said that there was no competition and she was secure about what she was doing on screen. She said that she got an entire narration of the script and unfortunately she had no scenes with Shehnaaz in ‘Honsla Rakh’.
The two actors worked together on a song in the film and talking about the same, Sonam said that Shehnaaz was a ‘good dancer’ and she was amused by her. She added that they were teaching steps to each other and she was constantly reminding herself to not forget the steps and perform better. The actor acknowledged that when one’s co-star performs well, one also feels like doing the same, so, working with Shehnaaz made her more responsible.
Sonam also appreciated Shehnaaz and said that she was good at what she was doing.
‘Honsla Rakh’, released in 2021, revolved around a divorced father trying to raise his son. The film starred Diljit in the lead with Shehnaaz as his ex-wife and Sonam as the new love interest. The film is directed by Amarjit Singh Saron and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
On the work front, Sonam Bajwa will next be seen in the much-anticipated Punjabi comedy drama ‘Carry On Jatta 3’. Shehnaaz Gill recently made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ and will be seen in Sajid Khan’s ‘100%’.
