However, the internet was not so impressed with the actor’s views on marriage, and the same got heavily trolled by the netizens who slammed the actor calling him a “misogynist.”

What did the actor say

The actor was speaking to a movie companion in an interview where he opened up about his views regarding marriage saying, “This entire marriage thing is about one thing: that the guy was a mess and the woman came in to fix him. So the rest of his life is going to be a journey of him getting fixed and becoming a decent person. That’s pretty much what life is about.”

Netizens react

As the interview went viral over the internet, furious netizens called out the actor for his misogynistic words.

One user wrote, “Shahid is still unable to get out of his Kabir Singh’s Character. Another said,” That is what women are for? To fix men? Manchild.

Notably, this was not the first time when Shahid found himself in trouble for his misogynist and sexist remarks.

Previously as well, the Kabir Singh actor has attracted sharp criticism from the public for making a statement in which he stated that he can’t take out his frustration at home as now he is married for 8 years. The actor made the said statement at the trailer launch of his recently launched film Bloddy Daddy.
