New Delhi: Day 2 of the gala at the newly inaugurated Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre witnessed some stunning celebrities gracing the event with their looks and performances. From Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and others to international celebs Zendaya, Tom Holland and Gigi Hadid were also there at the event. The gala saw an unexpected event when surprisingly, Varun Dhawan lifted Gigi in his arms.
Varun called Gigi up on the stage and lifted her in his arms and also planted a kiss on her cheek. This made many of the viewers unhappy as they called him out for not taking her consent before lifting and kissing her. Twitter users shared the video and said that it was not needed.

While consent is a valid concern, after facing the backlash, Varun Dhawan issued a statement saying that it was planned. Replying to a tweet, he wrote that he is bursting the bubble and it was planned for her to get on stage.

American model Gigi Hadid turned desi and wore a saree. She wore a stunning Chikankari saree with a golden jewelled blouse. Her shimmering saree was designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Gigi went for a minimal makeup look with all the glitters in her outfit. She arrived in India last week and also attended the launch ceremony of NMACC.

Varun, while performing, wore a silver vest and black pants. The Bollywood actor was at the event with his wife Natasha Dalal and his mother. He also performed on the hit number ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ alongside Shah Rukh and Ranveer.
