New Delhi: On Friday, August 25, 2023, the producers of Kareena Kapoor’s upcoming film, Jaane Jaan, unveiled the first official teaser for the film. Kareena’s first OTT appearance is in Jaane Jaan, which also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
The film, Jaane Jaan, is based on Keigo Higashino’s novel The Devotion of Suspect X. The movie is being marketed as a thrilling mystery story. The fact that ‘Jaane Jaan’ will debut on Netflix on September 21st, Kareena’s actual birthday, is undoubtedly a plus.

The brief preview shows us the thriller’s twisted and gloomy setting. The first look reveals Kareena Kapoor Khan in a startling new appearance—a natural look—in Sujoy Ghosh’s typical crime thriller flair. Beginning with a mysterious voice, Kareena can be seen performing Helen’s classic ‘Aa Jane Jaan’ in the teaser opening. While scenes featuring Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma occur back-to-back. After a brief clip of action that was obviously cut together fast, the teaser’s end credits roll.
Sujoy Ghosh helms Jaane Jaan, which is based on the Japanese book The Devotion of Suspect X. Kareena is said to play a divorced single mother who, amid a police inquiry, conspires with her neighbour to cover up the death of her estranged husband.
Kareena had previously told PTI that she tries to do something new at every turn while filming. She was quite interested in the film when Sujoy presented it to her and informed me who would be in it. She said that the time she spent with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma was a game-changer for her. Since these people are from another dimension, they acted as if they were genuine, which altered her perceptions. It’s done wonders for revitalising her spirit and outlook.
