New Delhi: Sujoy Ghosh is best Known for suspense thrillers like Kahanni, Kahanni 2, Badla and many more is back with one more mystery-thriller “Jaane Jaan” featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma. The makers unveiled the trailer on Tuesday marking the OTT debut of the actress. Jaane Jaan is based on a best-selling mystery novel The Devotion of Suspect X, directed by Sujaoy Ghosh, the film also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in the supporting roles. The film will be streaming on Netflix from September 1 on the occasion of Kareena Kapoor’s birthday.

In Jaane Jaan Kareena is playing the role of Maya D’Souza who lives in the hill station of Kalimpong. The film showcases, Maya being in an abusive relationship which his neighbor Naren (Jaideep Ahlawa) has a hunch about. When a cop Karan played by Vijay Varma comes to Kalimpong looking for Maya’s missing husband and develops a romantic relationship with her. Karan and Narain are old friends and he immediately asks Naren about his ‘Hot Padosi’ who is also a prime suspect in his investigation. The trailer didn’t reveal much about the storyline, keeping the curiosity of the audience alive.

Apart from Jaane Jaan director Sujoy Ghosh has done many other suspense thriller movies Kahaani, Bdla, Ahalya and recently directed a segment in the anthology film Lust Stories 2.
Talking about Kareena Kapoor’s workfront, she was last seen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha while Vijay Varma was seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s Lust Stories 2, he also appeared in crime series Dhakkad and Kaalkoot. Jaideep’s last project was, An Action Hero.
