New Delhi: Filmmaker Atlee revealed the name of his newborn son and shared the first picture with him. The director shared that his son is named Meer and posted a picture of a temple visit with his wife and the newborn. Reportedly, the couple visited Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai after the filmmaker announced the release date for his upcoming film ‘Jawan’.
The picture shows Atlee posing with his wife Priya, who held the baby in her arms. The couple used a heart emoji on Meer’s face as they are not willing to reveal his face yet. Sharing the name, Atlee asked his fans for their ‘love, blessing and prayers’.

The couple received a lot of congratulatory comments and people showered blessings for their little one. Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu also congratulated them in the comment section.
Atlee and Priya welcomed the baby boy in January this year and announced the news on social media with pictures of them from a photoshoot. Atlee described welcoming his child as “There’s no feeling in the world like this.”

Atlee is currently working on the much-anticipated film ‘Jawan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara in pivotal roles. The film was initially set to release in June the makers made an announcement yesterday that the film will hit the cinemas on September 7. ‘Jawan’ also features Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, and Riddhi Dogra in the ensemble cast.
Announcing the new release date, Shah Rukh shared that the cast and crew were working without a break and pushing themselves and now they will do their job with more ease now.
