New Delhi: Amid boycott calls for ‘Besharam Rang’, a new song from the film ‘Pathaan’ is set to release on December 22. The makers are releasing the title track of the film, titled ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’. The first look of the song starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone has been revealed along with the announcement.
Director Siddharth Anand said that the song portrays the personality of the titular character played by SRK. Reportedly, ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ is a fusion qawwali and King Khan revealed in his #AskSRK session that the song is sung by Arijit Singh. Anand also said that the song features SRK grooving and also revealing the traits of his spy character.

The first look of the song features Shah Rukh in a white shirt with his classic long hair and Deepika in a brown outfit paired with silver shoes, standing by a vintage car.
The first song ‘Besharam Rang’ faced a backlash as BJP politicians and members of Hindu outfits raised questions on the colour of Deepika’s bikini in the song and also said that the song is ‘vulgar’. While some chose to criticise the lyrics of the song to run the #BoycottPathaan trend on social media.

‘Pathaan’ marks SRK’s return to the screen after ‘Zero’ as he plays an R&AW agent in the film. The film also stars John Abraham alongside SRK and Deepika. ‘Pathaan’ will hit the cinemas on January 25. The song will release with a month to go for the film and the makers are expecting the fans to dance to the number.
