New Delhi: G. V Prakash Kumar & Ivana starrer 2024 survival-thriller Kalvan, which graced the cinemas on April 4, 2024, garnered mixed reactions from movie-goers and critics.
As the P.V. Shankar directorial flicker remained unsuccessful in delivering a remarkable performance at the Box Office, the filmmakers are now gearing up for the movie’s OTT release, expecting it to do better with digital audiences.
Where to watch Kalvan on OTT?
According to reports, Disney + Hotstar bagged Kalvan’s digital rights way prior to its theatrical release for a whopping amount.
This suggests that after concluding in theaters, the Tamil entertainer will become available on Disney + Hotstar, allowing the audiences to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes.
However, while the movie is expected to start streaming on the digital giant on or around May 17th, an official announcement regarding its exact OTT release date and platform is yet to be made by the makers.

Kalvan’s intriguing story unfolds against the backdrop of Tamil Nadu’s mountainous Sathyamanglam forests. It circles the lives of Kemban (GV Prakash) and Suri (Dheena), who go around committing pity thefts here and there in the town.
One fine day, Kemban enters the house of a beautiful woman Balamani (Ivana), and immediately falls in love with her. He then makes several attempts to impress Balamani & eventually succeeds in igniting her feelings for him.
However, before asking Balamani for marriage, the young guy must stabilize his life by collecting money to earn a stable job as a forest officer.
To do the same, Kemban, accompanied by 3 friends, embarks on a challenging mission of capturing a rampant elephant who has been wreaking havoc in the region’s forest. Meanwhile, he also adopts an old man (Bharathiraja) from an old age home for some dark reasons.
