New Delhi: Karan Johar recently explained why he decided to quit the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In an interview with Mid-Day, he revealed that he made the decision instinctively after coming across abusive comments related to his young twins, Yash and Roohi Johar. The love and protection for his kids played a significant role in his choice to step away from the platform.

In a recent interview, Karan Johar explained his decision to quit Twitter. He shared that the main reason behind this choice was the abusive comments he encountered targeted towards his young children. The derogatory remarks, not only towards himself but also towards his mother, deeply affected him. As a parent and a human being, he made the firm decision to prioritize the well-being of his children and avoid any negativity associated with them. Karan acknowledged the importance of Twitter but expressed that he did not want to expose himself to hurtful comments directed at his kids.

Karan Johar clarified that his decision to quit Twitter was not influenced by the nepotism accusations directed at him as a producer. He emphasized that he has not stopped working with talented individuals from the industry, including Alia Bhatt. His choice to leave the platform was solely driven by his desire to shield his children from hurtful comments. As a parent, he couldn’t tolerate anything negative about his kids. Karan acknowledged that it was difficult to confront anonymous critics and preferred to exit the platform instead.
