KBC15: Jaskaran Singh, the first crorepati of the season quits to answer this Rs7crore question, Can you answer it?

While introducing himself in the show, Jaskaran said, he is among the very few graduates from the village of Khalra in Punjab.

New Delhi: Jaskaran Singh who hails from the small village of  Khalra in Punjab became the first crorepati of season 15  on Kon Banega Crorepati. He faced the final question for Rs 7 crore but chose to quit the game at 1 crore as he was not sure about the answer.

In the 15th season of the show, host Amitabh  Bachchan asked Jaskaran Singh a Rs 7 crore question on Tuesday. The question was, According to Padma Purana, which king had to live as a tiger for a hundred years due to a deer’s curse? and the options were a) Kshemadhurti b) Dharmadatta c) Mitadhvaja d) Prabhanjana. Sice Jaskaran was unsure of the question therefore he chose to quit the game with the prize money of Rs 1 crore. The correct answer for this 7 crore question was d0 Prabhajana. He has already become the first crorepati of the season by answering Rs 1 crore question.

About Jaskaran Singh

While introducing himself in the show, Jaskaran said, he is among the very few graduates from the village of Khalra in Punjab. He is currently preparing for the UPSC civil service exam going to held next year. He came to Mumbai for the show audituion by flight, whose ticket’s money worth Rs 9000-10000 was arramged by his father somehow. He was dropped at the airport by his friends in a scooter. He further said he will give this prize money to his father, which is also his firstever pay check of his life.

Jaskaran became first crorepati of the season by answering the question, Who was the viceroy of India when the capital of India was shifted from Calcutta to Delhi? And jaskaran give the right answer by saying choosing Lord Harding from the given options and won the prize money of Rs 1 crore.
