New Delhi: Tharun Bhacker’s latest crime comedy Keedaa Cola finally made it to the big screens on November 3. Alongside its theatrical release, the makers of the movie also locked in the film’s digital partner which is likely going to stream it after around 4 weeks of its theatrical release.
As per the latest updates, Keedaa Cola’s digital rights have been sold to leading OTT platform Aha where it will be made available for watching by the end of its run on the big screens.
Reports also have it that the film, made on a small budget of Rs 6 crore has received a handsome price of Rs 8 crore from Aha in exchange for its digital rights. Meanwhile, Keeda Cola’s lead actor Tharun Bhaskar has also reportedly amassed over Rs 10 crore rupees with this low-budget flick.
Keedaa Cola’s Box Office success
Tharun, who produced the movie with a very low budget, left no stone unturned in its promotion all across the south Indian states. As the film finally arrived on the big screens, his hard work started to pay off as the film began its Box Office Journey with a bang and minted Rs 6.3 Crore on its opening day itself.
With the weekend approaching, Keedaa Cola is expected to further improve its performance and earn an even bigger amount on the ticket window in the coming days. Overwhelmed with the movie’s success, its makers have also decided to release it on a few more screens in Andhrapradesh from today onwards.
About Keedaa Cola
Helmed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, Keedaa Cola’s story circles around the life of a group of three guys Varadaraju (Brahmanandam), Vasthu (Chaitanya Rao), and Lancham(Rag Mayur) who find a cockroach in a Cola’s bottle and decide to drag the CEO of the manufacturing company to the court for the same.
However, their life takes an unexpected turn when ex-convict Naidu (Tharun Bhascker) and corporator-aspirant Jeevan (Jeevan) come after the bottle of Keeda cola. How these guys face the CEO of Cola company (Ravindra Vijay) and what will come as a consequence of their case is the remaining story of the movie.
In its cast, the film features a number of talented actors including Jeevan Kumar, Brahmanandam, Chaitanya Rao, Raghu Ram, Rag Mayurand Rana Duggabati in key roles. It is produced by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam who released it under the banner of VG Sainma on 3rd November.
