New Delhi: Marvel Studios released the teaser-trailer for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ at the San Diego Comi-Con. Since the release, the fans are guessing the name of who was in the new Black Panther suit. Lego, in its latest set, featured a new Black Panther and has hinted towards the name who might lead Wakanda as the new king.
In the epic final shot, the trailer shows someone wearing the iconic Black Panther suit as the claws emerge from the hand. The suit has a new design and a new owner, though, the person wearing the suit was not revealed in the trailer. Lego released a mini-figure of Shuri in the new suit and hinted that T’Challa’s sister might be the next Black Panther.
Apart from Shuri, Danai Gurira’s Okoye and Lupita Nyong’o’s Nakia were also among the names guessed by Marvel fans. After the demise of Chadwick Boseman, who played the character of T’Challa aka Black Panther, Marvel Studios announced that they would not replace someone as T’Challa.
The trailer also paid tribute to the late actor as the people of Wakanda were shown remembering their king. In the trailer, the characters can be seen mourning T’Challa as an emotional rendition of ‘No Woman No Cry’ plays in the background. A picture of T’Challa can be seen painted on the streets of Wakanda, helping the people remember their former king.
Apart from a new protagonist, the sequel will also feature some new characters including Tenoch Huerta playing Namor the Submariner, Mabel Cadena as Namora and Dominique Thorne as Ironheart. The film, directed by Ryan Coogler, will release on November 11 in theatres.
