Malaikottai Vaaliban BO Day 4: After the first weekend of release, the box office collection for Malaikottai Vaaliban stands at Rs 10 crore, after getting mixed reviews.

New Delhi: Despite the expensive production expenditures, Malaikottai Vaaliban is facing alarming box office results. Lijo Jose Pellissery, the director of Superstar Mohanlal’s blockbuster film is well-known. Fans had high hopes for the picture, but they were severely let down when it came out.

On January 25, 2024, Mohanlal released his most expensive film to date. The film had a strong opening, but its chances of making it to the big screen have taken a major hit due to the negative word of mouth.

Many were hoping that Malaikottai Vaaliban would finally break through for Malayalam cinema, which has thus far failed to become a pan-Indian hit. Malaikottai Vaaliban, starring Malayalam’s greatest performer Mohanlal and directed by the legendary Lijo Jose Pellissery, sparked much anticipation among fans before its debut but bombed at the box office.

After the first weekend of release, the box office collection for Malaikottai Vaaliban stands at Rs 10 crore, after getting mixed reviews. A total of 5.65 crores of rupees was earned by the picture on its first day of release, and ever since then, it has been on a decreasing trend. There was a drop of around fifty per cent in the film’s collection on the second day, and it only managed to bring in 2.4 crore rupees.

Even though it was anticipated that things would improve over the course of the weekend, the picture only managed to gather a somewhat less amount than it had on the first two days. On Saturday – Day 3, it made a total of Rs 1.5 crore, and according to the estimation provided by Sacnilk, the film’s collection for the fourth day is merely 1.25 crore overall.

Lijo Jose Pellissery, the director of the movie, stated that the negative campaign against the film was the primary cause of the film’s bad reception.
