New Delhi: The Mollywood industry has lost a low-profile yet fine actor ND Prasad. The actor, aged 43 was found dead at his residence on Sunday. According to eyewitnesses, the deceased actor was found hanging from a tree outside his residence in Kalamassery near Kochi.
The actor has played many small roles in Malyalam movies. He is survived by his wife and two children. His dead body was first spotted by his children. When the neighbours got to know of Prasad’s alleged suicide, police was informed.
ND Prasad had acted in many Malayalam films, but he shot to prominence for his role in a movie titled Action Hero Biju.
On June 25, the actor reportedly hung himself from the tree, outside his residence. According to reports, the actor was having family issues and was disturbed & distraught over his wife ‘abandoning’ him for some reasons.
Police officials said that his wife was staying away from him for some months and he was disturbed for some days, due to this.
Prasad has also been under the police scanner for drug consumption. In 2021, he was arrested over possession of synthetic drugs (2.5 gms of hashish oil and 15 gms of Ganja).
