New Delhi: Relive the joys and sorrows of high school romance, competition, and social stratification with Maxton Hall: The World Between Us. Producers have launched an interesting video to provide a peek at the new series on Amazon Prime Video, which is gearing up for its premiere on May 9.

German filmmakers Martin Schreier and Tarek Roehlinger adapted Mona Kasten’s best-selling book Save Me for the series.

Plot

Ruby Bell, a bright scholarship student at the elegant Maxton Hall School, tries to maintain a low profile throughout the story.

The offspring of prominent politicians, diplomats, and businesspeople are descending to Maxton Hall in droves to have a good time. However, Ruby is determined to stay out of trouble if she wants to attend her chosen college. Life changes for Ruby when she inadvertently discovers the shocking truth about the haughty rich heir James Beaufort.

James wants Ruby to remain silent, but Ruby isn’t the kind to sell herself—for money or otherwise. A connection develops between the two as tensions mount and harsh words fly. Now is the time for Ruby to decide—between following her dreams and sacrificing her heart for the sake of her team. As Ruby and James let their guard down, more than just their hopes and aspirations might be on the line.

James and Ruby’s lives are entangled in a web of glitz, prestige, secrets, and drama, as shown in the intriguing teaser. But when their paths cross, destiny takes an unexpected turn.
