New Delhi: In this new series adaptation of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Donald Glover and Maya Erskine will play the lead parts of recruited top-notch spies, John, and Jane Smith, respectively, in an arranged marriage with some unexpected turns. The comedy-action film Mr. & Mrs. Smith was co-created by Glover and Francesca Sloane.

Plot
A reimagining of the 2005 film, the series follows two strangers who find themselves in a world of espionage, affluence, travel, and an exquisite brownstone in Manhattan after landing positions with an enigmatic intelligence organisation. However, there is a snag. To complete dangerous tasks and adjust to their new, unusual relationship, they must assume the identities of Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Jane Smith, respectively, as part of an arranged marriage. When their emotions for one another begin to develop, the situation becomes much more problematic.
The narrative, which follows first-time spies John and Jane as they deal with missions with natural clumsiness and eventual self-assurance (as shown in the trailer), follows an exciting new trajectory. As the pair is making progress in couple’s therapy, their lives take a disastrous turn into unprecedented espionage escapades.

This iconic espionage romantic thriller promises to have a more delicate equilibrium of humour, romance, and action than its predecessor, the popular film that was released in 2005.
