Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway box office collection Day 8: Rani Mukherjee starrer collects less than a crore

New Delhi: In the film Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway, Rani Mukerji’s portrayal has been well-received. She portrayed a mother in the movie who loses her children and is forced to fight the entire country. Based on actual events, Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway had a strong opening week, generating close to Rs. 10 crores.

The movie made an additional Rs 0.80 crore (early estimates) on its second Friday, bringing the total to Rs 10.51 crore. On March 24, Friday, the seventh day of the movie, there was a 9.74% overall occupancy.


Rani has been vigorously promoting the movie and has stated in interviews that she hopes audiences witness these stories in theatres so that they would be more inspired to produce similar movies.


A mother fights with a whole country to get custody of her children in the moving drama Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway. Jim Sarbh and Anirban Bhattacharya are also featured in the movie’s cast. It debuted in theatres on March 17 under the direction of Ashima Chibber. The Journey of a Mother by Sagarika Chakraborty, a mother whose children were removed from them by the Norwegian Childcare system (Barnevernet) in 2011, is the basis for the movie.
