New Delhi: In JTBC’s latest production, prominent figures in Korea’s entertainment business will try their hand at a life away from the limelight. My Name Is Gabriel, a variety show, will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on June 21.
My Name is Gabriel, a highly anticipated variety show on JTBC, that will include Ji Chang Wook, Park Bo Gum, and many more beloved performers. This show by Kim Tae Ho has an interesting premise as the stars will live the lives of normal people overseas.
Reality shows such as Running Man, Jinny’s Kitchen, and Single’s Inferno have a strong reputation in South Korea’s entertainment business. My Name Is Gabriel is a new addition to the roster.
About the Reality TV Show
On the show, the featured stars attempt to be one of the 8 billion people in the globe for 72 hours, immersing themselves in “the real life of that person” in an unknown setting. They will step out of their comfort zones and into the shoes of ordinary people on the variety show.
The show takes place in Chiang Mai, Guadalajara, Chongqing, and Dublin, and it offers viewers a chance to learn about other cultures while laughing at their favourite stars’ mistakes and coming to deep realizations.

Cast and Crew
My Name is Gabriel, produced by the legendary PD Kim Tae Ho. The show’s primary hosts are Defconn and Kang Min Kyung.
In Guadalajara, Mexico, Ji Chang Wook—famous for Healer, Melting Me Softly, Welcome to Samdal-ri, and more—will tackle his challenges. Choreographer and dancer Gabee will also be in Mexico. Comedian Park Myung Soo can be seen in Chiang Mai, Thailand, while legendary actor Park Bo Gum (Reply 1988, Record of Youth, and more) will be navigating life in Dublin, Ireland. At the same time, Yeom Hye Ran (famous for Mask Girl, The Uncanny Counter, The Glory, and more) will explore herself in Chongqing, China.
Additionally, DEX and Park Myung Soo are also regular members. Meanwhile, the source states that Jennie of BLACKPINK was supposed to join the cast but had to back out.
