Nandhan OTT Release Date: Era. Saravanan’s directorial Tamil drama Nandhan graced the cinemas earlier this year on September 20th, 2024.
Featuring M. Sasikumar and Suruthi Periyasamy in lead roles, the film arrived on the big screens with high hopes but unfortunately failed to do well at the Box Office.
With most fans criticizing the political entertainer for its sluggish pace & weak storyline, Nandhan failed to stay afloat at the theaters for long & ultimately ended its BO journey even without completing 4 week run at the ticket windows.
This compelled the filmmakers to go ahead with the village drama’s OTT release sooner than decided and as a result, they dropped the Suruthi starrer on Amazon Prime Video on 11 October 2024, allowing the fans to enjoy the movie right from the comfort of their homes. Now, it will be interesting to see if the Tamil comedy manages to rake in decent viewers on the digital screens in the days to come.

Koppulingam, a highly competitive man who has held the post of Panchayat President of his village for a long time receives the shock of his life when a new law ends up disqualifying him from being eligible to contest the upcoming Panchayat presidential election by reserving the position exclusively for the people hailing from a particularly marginalized section of the society.
However, to make sure the village stays under his control by hook or crook, Koppulingam encourages his loyal servant Ambedkumar, who belongs to a lower cast, to take part in the upcoming collection.
Will Ambedkumar contest in the elections for his master? And will the villagers make him the new president of the local Panchayat? And how will Koppulingam use Ambedkumar as his mere puppet to indirectly control the politics of the area? Watch the movie to find out the answers.
