Nyaight of the Living Cat OTT Release: Cat lovers, beware — your favorite furry companions may not be as innocent as they seem.
The highly anticipated anime “Nyaight of the Living Cat” is all set to claw its way onto OTT platforms soon, bringing with it a delightfully bizarre mix of comedy, horror, and feline chaos.

Plot
In the not-so-distant future of 20XX, the world faces an unexpected and strangely adorable apocalypse. Humanity is no longer at the top of the food chain — it has been dethroned by none other than cats. Cute, fuzzy, purring cats. But behind their soft fur and innocent meows lies a terrifying truth: they are the carriers of a highly infectious virus that sparks a global catastrophe known as the “nyandemic.”
This bizarre and unprecedented virus spreads through physical contact. The moment a human touches or is touched by a cat, they become infected — and the transformation is immediate. The virus slowly turns the infected into cats themselves, both in body and behavior. As the pandemic spirals out of control, entire cities fall under feline rule, their human populations slowly replaced by whiskered, tail-wagging former people.
The most dangerous part? These cats are irresistibly adorable. They don’t attack with claws or fangs. Instead, they rub up against you, purr sweetly, and curl their fluffy bodies into your lap — triggering an almost uncontrollable urge to cuddle and pet them. It is this overwhelming temptation that becomes the downfall of humanity.
In a world where affection equals annihilation, survivors must fight not only for their lives but against their own instincts. Even the strongest warriors and most stoic scientists find themselves crumbling in the face of the enemy’s charm. How can you resist a purring kitten pressing its head against your leg — when doing so might mean the end of your humanity?
With cities overrun by cats and the human population dwindling, resistance groups emerge, setting up strict “no-pet zones” and equipping themselves with gear to avoid infection. But hope is fleeting, and the question remains:
Can humanity survive when the enemy is so unbearably cute?
