New Delhi: Sundeep Kishan’s much-awaited fantasy-thriller Ooru Peru Bhairavakona was released in cinemas amid huge expectations on 16 February 2024. The movie started its BO journey with a bang and zoomed past the global lifetime collection of Yatra 2 within 3 days.
As of writing this article, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona has raked in an impressive total of Rs 22 crore + (Worldwide) & is still holding strong at the Global Box Office. Besides emerging as a commercial triumph, the Telugu flick also received overwhelmingly positive responses from viewers who lauded it for the brilliant acting of Sundeep and the lead female actors.

Ooru Peru’s impressive run at the Box Office clearly suggests that the film is not arriving on any digital platform anytime soon. However, after the end of its theatrical run, the Sundeep Kishan starrer will stream on Zee5 which has reportedly bagged its digital rights for a good amount of money. The film is expected to make it to the OTT platform around the first week of April 2024.
Ooru Peru Bhairavakona Story
Helmed by Vi Anand, Ooru Peru is a fantasy thriller that tells the of a film stunt man Basava (Sudeep) whose financial circumstances compel him to steal a bride’s marriage jewelry with the help of his buddy John ( Harsha). Later, as the two run away from the cops after committing the theft, they stumble upon a victim of an accident Agraharam Geetha (Kavya Thapar), and decide to help her by taking her with them in their car.
However, the trio’s fate soon changes after they reach the spooky village of Bhairavakona which holds several dark secrets within its boundaries and a mysterious connection with mythology. Will Basava, John, and Geetha manage to find their way out of this seemingly inescapable village, or get trapped there forever? Watch the movie to find out the answers.

In its stellar cast, Ooru Peeru sees Sudeep, Kavya, and Harsha in the lead roles while featuring Varsha Bollamma, and Vadivukkarasi among others as supporting characters. The film is produced by Razesh Danda and Balaji Gutta with Nandu Savirigana being the man behind its dialogue writing. It was released under the banners of AK Entertainment and Hasya Movies on February 16, 2024.
