New Delhi: Makers released a new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming venture ‘Oppenheimer’ tracking the life of the American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the person who developed the atomic bomb. The film stars Cillian Murphy in the titular role while the trailer shows the rise and fall of Oppenheimer stuck between restoring peace and destruction of the world.
The 3-minute 7-second long clip begins with Oppenheimer getting ready for the detonation. The new trailer sets the background of the film and brings out USA’s situation during World War II when there was a ‘race’ with Hitler’s Germany to build a better weapon to win and end the war. Oppenheimer builds a secret town, brings in scientists, and battle politics to bring to the world the most destructive weapon in human history.

The trailer ends with the world cursing the scientists for giving birth to the atomic bomb and the final few seconds are dedicated to the countdown that changed the course of history.
Based on the book by Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin, Nolan brings out emotions and questions as he mixes them up with science once again.
With Cillian Murphy in the lead, the film also stars Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Gary Oldman. The music in the film is composed by Ludwig Gorranson and the movie is shot with IMAX cameras by Hoyte Van Hoytema, who has worked with Nolan on ‘Interstellar’, ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Tenet’.
