Oscars 2023: The Academy to give ‘Everyone Wins’ gift bags worth $126000 to top nominees, check what’s inside

‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ won seven awards but those who did not win do not have to be heartbroken as the Academy has exciting gifts for them.

New Delhi: The Academy upholds the spirit of ‘everyone wins’ and presents an ‘Everyone Wins’ gift bag worth $126,000 (around 1.03 crore) to the nominees who did not get an award. The gift bag contains luxury items from vacation packages to plots in Australia. ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ won seven awards but those who did not win do not have to be heartbroken as the Academy has exciting gifts for them.

These gift bags are handed over to the nominees of major awards including Best Direction and Best Actor/Actress. While their fans might be upset for them not getting an Oscar, Steven Spielberg, Paul Mescal, Cate Blanchett, Angela Bassett and others will be getting these bags. A total of 26 bags have been prepared by Distinctive Assets.

Distinctive Assets has been doing the job since 2002 and have compiled 60 gifts this time. As per the reports, the luxury gifts include Japanese milk bread, a vacation at an Italian lighthouse, a facelift with celebrity surgeon Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich, an unknown plot of land in Australia and a three-night stay in rural Ottawa, Canada.

For the winners, the ‘Everyone Wins’ gift bag is an additional prize and Distinctive Assets’ founder Lash Fary calls it the ‘icing on the cake’ for winners and a ‘consolation prize’ for those who did not get the Oscars.

This year, the Oscars have been a day to remember for Indians as the RRR song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the award in the Best Original Song category and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ in the Best Documentary (Short) category, became the first Indian production to bag Oscars.
