OTT releases: Check the new movies, series streaming on Netflix, Zee5 this week

This week the OTTs will be streaming several movies and series that will make the last few days of April worth it.

New Delhi: This week registers to be the last week of April, and don’t you think it should be utilised fully?! This week is a treat for all the movie buffs. We have curated some amazing movies for you on OTTs if you do not feel like leaving the comfort of your house in this hot weather.

Here are the best releases on OTT that you can binge throughout the week. Check below:

1. Gangubai Kathiawadi – April 26, Netflix

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie revolves around Gangubai, a powerful brothel proprietor who reclaims her honour by prospering in municipal elections while serving equal rights for women and sex workers. Played by Alia Bhatt, her acting received a lot of appraisal from every corner of the nation. The story is loosely based on the true story of Gangubai, as told in S. Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, published in 2011. 

2. Silver Seige – April 27, Netflix

After a gas depot sabotage mission in South Africa, a trio of anti-apartheid freedom fighters is forced to seek refuge in a bank. Meanwhile, the chase starts as the police wait to arrest them, and they have no choice but to hold the bank’s personnel and customers hostage. The movie stars Thabo Rametsi, Arnold Vosloo, and Noxolo Dlamini in pivotal roles. 

3. The mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The unheard tapes – April 27, Netflix

The documentary shows the mystery surrounding Marilyn Monroe’s unexpected death in 1962. The documentary uses archive footage and unheard interview tapes from Monroe’s inner circle to curate crucial details about her dying days to determine whether any conspiracy theories are true.

4. Never kiss your best friend 2: April 29, Zee 5

The series narrates the story of two closest friends and lovers who are now co-workers in the same company and they are filled with bitter memories and anger. They begin dating other people soon, however, the flame between them burns brightly. The couple must decide where their emotions lie as their relationship between friendship and love begins to die again. Season 2 also casts Sarah Jane Dias and Karan Wahi.
