OTT releases: These series streaming from August will make it worthwhile; Check list here

If you don’t feel like visiting the theatre and want to sit down in the cozy corner, then you can binge movies and series released on Netflix, Prime, Hotstar, and others.

New Delhi: Though there are a series of movies making theatrical releases, OTT platforms are not far behind in terms o releases. From action to thriller, series and movies of different genres will be streaming on the platforms in the month of August.

1. Crash Course – Amazon Prime

The series narrates the story of student life with eight new faces starring in it. The story has a gripping storyline, besides being thought-provoking and entertaining. The series gives an all-over perspective into the lives of students, and the joys and struggle they face while witnessing adulthood. It also shows how they fight family and peer pressure in a competitive environment. The series will stream from August 5.

2. I am Groot – Disney+Hotstar

The series is a collection of five original shorts starring Baby Groot. The series explores Baby Groot’s growing up days and getting into trouble among the stars. Vin Diesel played the voice of Groot in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise and is the voice of Baby Groot. The series will premiere on August 10.

3. Indian Matchmaking Season 2 – Netflix

Mumbai’s top matchmaker, Sima Taparia is coming with her second season of the reality series ‘Indian Matchmaking.’ The eight-episode season will premiere on August 10. Reportedly, the season will have hour-long episodes during which Taparia will work with millennials around the globe to search for the perfect match.

4. She Hulk: Attorney at Law – Disney+Hotstar

The series shows Jennifer Walters who is an attorney specialises in superhuman-oriented legal cases. Walters navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something who happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. 

5. Delhi Crime Season 2 – Netflix

The International Emmy award-winning series Delhi Crime is returning with its second season on August 26. The show will feature the same cast who will be investigating another challenging case. The show will have police officer DCP Vartika Chaturvedi (played by Shefali Shah) and her team solving critical situations at both personal and professional levels.
