Plot

Park Gae-in is a kind-hearted but clumsy furniture designer who lives in Sanggojae. It is a beautiful traditional Korean house built by her famous architect father. She has a long-term boyfriend, Han Chang-ryul. Park believes they have a future together. However, to her shock, she finds out that he is actually engaged to her best friend, Kim In-hee.

Heartbroken and betrayed, Gae-in becomes more wary of love. To make matters worse, she faces financial struggles and risks losing her home. Desperate, she decides to rent out a room at Sanggojae to earn extra money.

Jeon Jin-hois an ambitious and talented young architect who owns a small firm. He competes against big companies, including Chang-ryul’s father’s construction firm. Jin-ho learns that an upcoming architectural project could give him a breakthrough. However, the key inspiration for the design is Sanggojae.

Knowing that Park Gae-in is the owner, Jin-ho desperately wants to study the house’s unique structure. However, since she refuses to rent to men, a misunderstanding arises where Gae-in assumes Jin-ho is gay.

Seeing an opportunity, Jin-ho goes along with the misconception and moves in as her new roommate. As Jin-ho and Gae-in spend more time together, their relationship deepens beyond friendship. Gae-in realizes she loves Jin-ho but assumes he does not feel the same way. She thinks so because of the belief that he is gay.

Jin-ho, on the other hand, struggles to confess his true identity, fearing it would break Gae-in’s trust.
