PM Modi pays Tribute to Timeless melody singer ‘Mukesh’ on his100th birth anniversary

The legendary singer has given many hits in his career including Mera Joota Hai Japani, Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai, Awara Hoon, Jeena Yaha Marna Yaha and Aa Ab Laut Chalein.

New Delhi: On the Birth anniversary of Legendary Singer Mukesh Chandra Mathur, PM Modi paid tribute to the ‘maestro of melody.’ PM Modi through his tweet paid respect to the golden voice singer Mukesh. PM tweeted- His timeless song evokes a wide range of emotions and has left an indelible mark on Indian music. Reacting to Pm Modi’s tweet, Mukesh’s grandson  Neil Nitin Mukesh expresses his gratitude for the PM’s swarm words. Neil said That he is truly honored and humbled by the magnanimity shown by PM Modi. He further said it is a proud moment for him and his family. His father along with him thanking Modiji for his kind gesture, this will be etched in their hearts forever.

The playback singer started his career in 1940 with the song. With his melodic voice and heart-wrenching songs, he emerged as one of the singing sensations of his time. He also won a National film award for the best male playback singer in 1973 for the song Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha from the movie Rajinigandha.

He has been the voice of many actors like Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand, Sanjeev Kumar and Rishi Kapoor. Mukesh has given several hits in collaboration with legends like Naushad, ShankarJaikishan and more and is still remembered as one of the most celebrated Indian playback vocalist. On the occasion of his birth anniversary his family celebrated and cherished the late singer’s legacy  and paid tribute him by singing his melodies.
