Prappeda OTT Release Date: After winning multiple awards and gaining immense praise at the International Film Festival, the dystopian sci-fi movie Prappeda ( Hawk’s Muffin) is finally set to hit an OTT platform.
Helmed by ace filmmaker Krushnendu Kalesh, the 2022 release Malayalam flicker, skipping a theatrical release, will soon arrive on renowned digital platform Sania Play which has bagged its OTT rights a few days back.
When and where to watch Prappeda on OTT?
Taking to its official social media handle, Sania Play recently confirmed that Prappeda will make its digital debut on the platform in the coming days.
Sharing a post from its Instagram account, the streaming portal dropped an intriguing poster of the film & wrote, “Get ready to witness the truly unique and innovative ‘Prappeda’ coming soon on Saina play.”

Notably, while Sania Play kept the exact premiere date of Prappeda a secret, sources suggest that the film might become available for streaming on the platform on or around 16 August 2024. Nevertheless, considering the hype of the movie, it won’t be wrong to suggest that fans are awaiting its OTT release with bated breaths.
Plot
Set in a gloomy dystopian future, Prappeda follows Ruby, a young girl who does her best to look after her bedridden mother enslaved in a greenhouse that once belonged to her great-granddad.
Ruby & her mother’s life is closely monitored and controlled by her toxic stepdad who once used to serve as a hunter for her grandfather. If that’s not enough, an extremely cunning priest also keeps an eye on the ladies, adding more to their mystery.
However, one fine day, things change drastically for Ruby when a cop, accompanied by another puzzling person knocks at her door, triggering a series of events that leads to the unearthing of some long-buried dark secrets. What happens next and how these two outsiders ignite an intense struggle for power in the territory is the film’s rest of the story.
