The restaurant representative also added in a statement that establishing and developing Sona would be an important and gratifying point in her career.

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra has now snapped her ties with Sona, the New York City restaurant she opened two years ago. A spokesperson confirmed and told People that Priyanka has left her partnership at Sona. Maneesh K. Goyal, co-founder of the popular restaurant famed for its authentic Indian cuisine, will continue to run the business.

Although she was distanced away from her Indian root, the actress made the decision in 2021 to bring the complex flavours of Indian food to the United States of America by opening a restaurant called Sona in the city of New York. However, it has now been revealed that the actress has snapped ties with the collaboration after it had been in place for two years since the restaurant opened.

According to what Maneesh told ‘People’ – the most popular magazine, Priyanka was the inspiration for the restaurant, “We’re grateful for her partnership and support. While she will no longer be involved as a creative partner moving forward, she remains in the Sona family and we are excited about our respective new chapters ahead,” he added.
