New Delhi: After a raving performance at the theatres, Ponniyin Selvan 2 is looking forward to its OTT release.
Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 was released on the big screens in 2022 on September 30. Maniratman’s dream project emerged as the highest-grossing Kollywood film ever. With eager fans waiting for the second installment, Ponniyin Selvan Part 2 arrived after 7 months on April 28th, 2023.
While it couldn’t match the commercial success of the PS-1, the second part earned over 150 crores internationally in just 3 days.
PS 2 OTT Release Date
While most low-budget or less hyped films opt for OTT released after just 45 days of the theatrical release. However major movies staring big stars take 60 days to arrive on online streaming services.
Hence, the fans will have to wait a little longer for the period drama’s OTT release. PS 2 will be available to stream on OTT on June 28th.

Streaming rights of the Aishwarya Rai starrer spectacle film are bought by streaming giant Amazon Prime Video. As per the reports, Ponniyin Selvan part 2 sold its rights for a whopping deal of Rs. 100 crore.
So, Ponniyin Selvan part 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on 28th June 2023.

The Chola Empire period drama performed up to the mark at the box office. The Maniratnam directorial’s 1-week collection was recorded at Rs. 250 crores. Which is the exact half of its predecessor’s worldwide collection of Rs. 500 crores.
