New Delhi: ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was one of the most remarkable films of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun’s acting career. The action-drama not only proved to be a massive success at the box office but also turned him into a pan-Indian superstar within no time.
However, the film ended on a cliffhanger, and ever since then, fans have been waiting for the release of its sequel ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ with bated breath.

While it is already confirmed that Pushpa’s second part will hit the cinemas on Independence Day 2024, a new update related to the film’s OTT partner has also come forward today As per a report published by OTTplay, the production company of Pushpa 2 (Maythri movies) has sold the film’s digital rights to the leading digital platform Netflix. This means that after its theatrical release, Pushpa 2 will stream on Netflix, and fans having a subscription to the platform’s service will be able to enjoy it from the comfort of their homes.

The same report further claims that as per the sources, Netflix has bagged Pushpa 2’s OTT rights by paying an amount that is three times more in comparison with what Amazon Prime paid to rope in the digital rights of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Moreover, some news are also claiming that the film’s director Sukumaar will also have a share in the money given by Netflix as consideration of Pushpa 2’s OTT rights.
Notably, the first part of the movie was released on Amazon Prime Video after it bagged the digital rights of the movie by paying a handsome amount for the same.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu to feature in Pushpa 2?
Meanwhile, the news about Samantha Ruth Prabhu, whose surprise appearance in the first part of the movie made fans go gaga, featured in a specific song of Pushpa 2 is also doing rounds on the internet. As per the reports, the shooting of a special song of Pushpa 2 will begin soon and makers are trying to rope in Samantha Ruth Prabhu to feature in the same.
However, as no official confirmation about the same has been made by the makers, only time will tell if get lucky enough to see Samantha’s sizzle in Pushpa 2 or not.
