New Delhi: Karan Johar is back with season 7 of the talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’, but Ranbir Kapoor will not be part of the show as he asked the host to not invite him. While fans were waiting for the newly wedded couple of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to show up for Season 7, Ranbir does not want to be at the show. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt will be seen with Ranveer Singh as a guest at the show.
Karan Johar told in an interview with News18 that Ranbir feels he will land in some trouble at the show, so he does not want to be there. The host added that he respects the fact that some actors are private people and also he has heard many yes’s and no’s so he is okay with it. As per Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor said, ‘I’d have to pay the price for too long. I should not do this to myself’. Ranbir also asked Karan Johar to not invite him to the show.
Earlier in 2017, the actor, while talking to AIB, told that he is tired of the show and was forced to come to Season 6 of the chat show. He also said, “Me and Anushka were actually going to protest and bring the entire film industry together because it’s not fair.” Ranbir Kapoor also alleged that Karan Johar is making money out of them, which is not right according to the actor.
Season 7 of the show will be released on July 7 on Disney+Hotstar. The new edition will feature Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Samantha Prabhu, Akshay Kumar and many other celebrities as guests in the show. While Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in ‘Shamshera’ which will hit the theatres on July 22.
