Retro OTT Release Date: Karthik Subbaraj’s Tamil romantic movie Retro was released in theaters on May 1st, 2025. Enjoying a decent pre-release buzz and fans’ frenzy prior to its premiere, the Jyothika and Suriya starrer received a modest reception from the fans at the Box Office, effortlessly emerging as a commercial blockbuster.

Made with a budget of Rs 65 crores, the flick, riding high on the rave reception from cinemagoers and critics, amassed a thumping Rs 235 crores from the global Box office and is now also heard up to try its luck with the OTTians in the days to come.

When and where to watch Retro online on OTT? 

According to the latest reports, Retro, after completing its remarkable journey on the big screens, will make its premiere on Netflix, which has purchased its OTT rights for a decent amount of money.

While an official confirmation for the same is awaited, sources suggest that the action thriller will land on the OTT gaint on or around June 5th, 2025, offering fans a chance to enjoy it right from the comfort of their homes. It will now be interesting to see how the Pooja Hegde starrer fares with the fans upon landing on the digital screens.

In addition to Jyothika and Suriya, Retro flaunts a number of star actors, including Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Prashanth, Sujith Shanker, Amrin Abubakker, Baby Aavni, MD Asif, Ramachandran Durairaj, and Prem Kumar in its main cast.

Jyothika and Suriya themselves have backed the movie in association with Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Rajsekar Pandian under the banner of Stone Bench Films and 2D Entertainment.
