Retro OTT Release Date: Suriya’s recently released movie Retro, featuring Jyothika as the leading lady,  is wreaking havoc on the big screens.

Premiered in theaters yesterday on May 1, 2025, the flick has already amassed a whopping Rs 46 crores (approximately) from the ticket windows and is still making waves at the box office.

Riding high on its exceptional storyline, power-packed action sequences, mass appeal and quality screenplay, the romantic drama now looks all poised to witness a monumental run on the big screens, following which, it will also land on OTT to entertain the viewers right from the comfort of their homes.

Where to watch Retro online after its Box Office run? 

According to the latest reports, Retro will make its much-awaited OTT debut on Netflix, which has already bagged the film’s digital rights for a whopping price.

While an official confirmation about the crime thriller’s exact digital premiere date is yet to be unveiled, one can expect it to land on the OTT gaint platform on or around mid-June 2025.

Plot

Set in the retro era somewhere between the 1960s and 70s, Retro tells the tale of Paari, an orphan boy who is raised by the wife of a dangerous gangster.

Betrayed by his own family and desperately running away from his terrifying past, how will Paari overcome the numerous challenges standing tall in his way to win back the love of her former lover Rukmini? Watch the movie and find out the answers.

Besides Suriya and Pooja Hegde, Retro features Joju George, Jayaram, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Karunakaran in pivotal roles. Jyothika, Suriya, Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, and Rajsekar Pandian have backed the film under the banner of Stone Bench Films 2D Entertainment.
