Retro OTT Release: Veteran actor Suriya is all geared up to treat his fans with his summer release movie in which he will star next to Bollywood diva Pooja Hegde. Helmed and written by Karthik Subbaraj, the romantic comedy, titled Retro, will test its luck on the big screens on May 1st, 2025. Additionally, after its theatrical run, the much-anticipated film will also make its way to the digital screens by landing on a popular OTT platform.
Where to watch Retro online after its theaterical run?
Post completing its journey at the Box Office, Retro will make its digital debut on Netflix, offering fans a chance to enjoy it right from the comfort of their homes in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. However, it is unclear if the movie’s Hindi dubbed version will also make its way to Netflix or will land on another streaming platform.
Earlier this year, Netflix confirmed itself as the official digital partner of the Suriya starrer flick by sharing a post about the same through its official social media handle.
In the post, shared on Instagram on January 15th, 2025, the OTT gaint dropped an intriguing poster of the actioner & wrote, “A man’s love can move mountains, but his rage? That’s Retro!. Retro, coming to Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada after its theatrical release!”

It now remains to be seen how the ambitious romantic drama performs in the theaters before making it to the digital screens at a later date.
Cast and Production
With Suriya and Pooja Hegde gracing the screens as the main pair, Retro also features several other actors including Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Sujith Shankar in its stellar cast.
The film is jointly produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Kalyan Subramanian, Jyothika, and Suriya with Stone Bench Creations and 2D Entertainment backing it under their production banner.
