New Delhi: Netflix will shortly showcase the launch of Rising Impact, the first anime adaptation of the popular manga. When issued from the late ’90s until the early ‘2000s, the manga series by Nakaba Suzuki—who also did the illustrations—had garnered a massive fan base.
Gawain Nanaumi, the protagonist of Rising Impact, is a baseball lover who, after meeting a female professional golfer, begins to wonder whether golf is more his speed.
Season 1 of Rising Impact, an animated film based on the acclaimed manga by Nakaba Suzuki of the same name, will debut on Netflix on June 22, with Season 2 following on August 6.
Storyline
Set in a remote, hilly region, the narrative follows third-grader Gawain Nanaumi as he develops a tremendous passion for baseball and perfects his skills at making the ball truly fly. In the small town, he meets a visitor Kiria Noshino, who shows him golf, a sport where a ball may actually fly. His physical prowess and sharp eye for detail, honed while living in a remote mountain region, allow him to smash the ball to unbelievable distances that challenge the best of the pros.
He is given the green light by his grandfather to go to Tokyo with this mysterious lady to gain as much golf knowledge as possible; on their journey, they meet a colourful cast of people and face several challenges.
He enrols in the exclusive Camelot Academy, the golfing elite school, with Kiria’s assistance. Gawain wants to be the greatest professional golfer, but he’ll have to overcome obstacles and compete with other young geniuses in the sport.
When and Where to Watch?
Two seasons of the Rising Impact anime will premiere on Netflix this year. Season one will premiere on June 22, 2024, and season two on August 6, 2024, on the streaming platform.

Cast and Crew
Misaki Kuno (Gawain Nanaumi), You Taichi (Kiria Noshino), Atsumi Tanezaki (Kurumi Nishino), and Yumiri Hanamori (Lancelot Norman) are among the voice actors featured in the series. There are other voice actors also, including Hana Satou, Tetsu Inada, Yuuki Kaji, and many others.
Michihiro Tsuchiya wrote the story, while Hitoshi Nanba is directing the animation. Masaru Yokoyama wrote the music, while Kiyotaka Oshiyama created the characters. Lay-duce is the animation company that produced it.
