New Delhi: Coming shortly to an over-the-top streaming service is the latest feature film from Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal, titled Road House. The film is a remake of the 1989 version starring Patrick Swayze and was directed by Doug Liman.
Road House, starring Patrick Swayze, was a cult hit in 1989, and now the renowned Double Deuce is demanding something new. In 2024, Jake Gyllenhaal will play Elwood Dalton, a role that was originally associated with the magnetic swagger of Patrick Swayze. John Dalton plays the part with a new name.
Plot
After leaving the UFC, a strong boxer finds work in a crazy Florida nightclub. Not only do people yell and curse, but some infamous things are also occurring there, which makes it all stranger and unsettling.
Jake Gyllenhaal plays Elwood Dalton, the former UFC champion and retired fighter. The trailer shows that even though the job at the nightclub is not easy, Elwood is up to the challenge.
Throughout the trailer, we get a look at the beautiful beaches and palm trees that can be found in Florida, which is the setting for the whole movie.
In this setting, Jake Gyllenhaal is repeatedly knocked unconscious. Living in his car and competing in underground contests, he is a hopeless case. After that, he gets an offer to work for Jessica Williams, a bar owner. We don’t see him making up his mind to return to the game, but he seems to have a fresh opportunity to reclaim his fighting career.
