New Delhi: Makers held a press meet in Mumbai ahead of the release of the much anticipated mythological drama ‘Shaakuntalam’. The lead cast of the film, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan, attended the event along with producer Dil Raju. At the event, Samantha talked about her performance and also about child actor Allu Arha, who is the daughter of Icon Star Allu Arjun.
Addressing the press, Samantha thanked the fans for showering their love for the film and the artists. She went on to express her gratitude towards the makers for fulfilling her dream of playing a Disney princess as she got a similar feel in ‘Shaakuntalam’.
Talking about Allu Arha, Samantha said that she believes that her father with not be taking the career decisions for her and she will make her own choices. She added that the film will be a boost to her career as it is a family film and children will enjoy it.

Dil Raju talked about Samantha’s versatility and said that people saw her doing action in ‘Family Man 2’, dancing on ‘Oo Antava’ and they will witness a different side of her in ‘Shaakuntalam’. He added that people will love her in the film and ‘Shaakuntalam’ would have been special for Samantha.

The makers recently shared a new trailer for the film, which shows Shakuntala’s vulnerability as she longs for love while King Dushyants fights an elephant, tigers and a great war.
The film is directed by Gunasekhar and also stars Kabir Bedi, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Aditi Balan and others. ‘Shaakuntalam’ will release in theatres on April 14.
