New Delhi: Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, “Jawan,” has taken the box office by storm since its release, leaving audiences thrilled and cheering for the actor.

Khan, who plays the character Azad, made a sensational entry in the film, particularly during a scene where he holds a metro train hostage, creating palpable suspense. This gripping scene also features an impressive “eight-page monologue” delivered flawlessly by the superstar.

Recently, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, a key member of Shah Rukh Khan’s circle, shared some fascinating insights into this pivotal moment.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, “Jawan” star Sanjeeta Bhattacharya disclosed that Shah Rukh Khan had an “eight-page monologue” during the metro train hostage scene and delivered it effortlessly in a single take.

She marveled at his professionalism, stating, “That was the first time I got to see Shah Rukh sir rattle off an 8-page monologue. Just like water. Hardly any retakes. There was one take and the other one would just be for variation.”

She went on to share the audience’s excitement about sharing the same metro coach as Shah Rukh Khan during the scene.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Empowering Stance on Women in “Jawan”

During an “Ask SRK” session on X (formerly Twitter) on August 26, a fan inquired about Shah Rukh Khan’s character in “Jawan.” The actor replied, “No tease, the one word that drives the movie is ‘Women.’ It’s a film about women made for men!!” In response, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya praised Shah Rukh Khan’s unwavering confidence and elaborated that when he describes “Jawan” as a movie about women, it stems from his self-assuredness.

She commended Khan for his down-to-earth nature, intelligence, and ability to let his work speak for itself, despite his superstar status. She noted, “The best part about him is that despite being a superstar, he still has his feet on the ground and head on his shoulder. He’s so intelligent. He’s aware of all the fluff and love that’s showered on him and yet lets his work speak for itself.”

Discussing the integral role of women in the film, Bhattacharya emphasized, “All the decisions taken by Shah Rukh sir’s character are influenced by what happens with the women. That’s how important the women are in the film. It’s not just a film about feminism but also about morals and our society.”

Directed by Atlee, “Jawan” stars Nayanthara alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. The film also features a cameo appearance by Deepika Padukone and was released on September 7th of this year.
