Spellbound OTT Release: The upcoming musical adventure animated comedy ‘Spellbound’ will premiere on 22nd November on Netflix. The film was earlier acquired by Apple TV in December 2020 but later Netflix took over the rights in 2023 October.
Plot
The story of the musical animated film follows the life of Ellian and her parents who are the king and queen of Lumbria. Both Ellian and her parents are living a happy life until one day when her parents turns into giant monsters.
Ellian gets shocked and gets in a panic mode and can’t decide how to break the spell. Being a teenager she doesn’t know anything and can’t imagine who muts have done this to her parents.
However on the other hand, the other officials of the kingdom are scared that if the king and the queen don’t come back to their original being, the kingdom will be acquired by their enemies.
They keep reminding Ellian that we desperately needs your parents back. Meanwhile the king and the queen who have turned into monsters are tied in a cage and they play small pranks inside their cage.
On some days Ellian tries to pick up a conversation with their parents, trying to know if they will be able to communicate something to her, but she fails. One day the officials of the kingdom
Inform Ellian that if the king and the queen don’t turn bakc to their original senses then the entire kingdom will be under the control of the spell and they won’t be able to protect it.
Cast and Production
The voice over of the animated film is given by Rachel Zegler, John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Tituss Burgess and Nathan Lane. The animation has been provided by Skydance Animation Madrid.
