Spinners OTT Release Date: The famous South African gang war drama series Spinners is gearing up for its much-awaited digital premiere in India.
Targetting the crime thriller genre lovers, the promising show, starring Cantona James and Elton Landrew in lead roles, is all set to stream online from 27 September onwards in Lionsgates Play where fans would get a chance to enjoy it right from their home’s comfort.
Plot of the Web series
Crafted by Benjamin Hoffman and Joachim Landau, Spinners is the story of a 17-year-old boy Evan who is compelled by the circumstances to drive for a brutal gang and make ends meet.
In the eight-episode-long grappling crime drama, we see Evan detesting the behavior of his gangster employers who frequently indulge in extremely immoral, illegal, and brutal activities causing a ruckus in the entire locality.
Desperate to find a way out of his misery by leaving his current job and finding something better to earn money, Evan one day stumbles upon a motorsport ‘spinning’ which, despite being extremely dangerous, can help him get out of this gangster mess and make a decent amount of money on his own.
However, just as the guy makes up his mind to try spinning, a fatal gang war breaks out in an area, killing his only flicker of hope to get a better and peaceful life. What happens next is the rest of the series’ story.
Cast and Production
Besides James and Landrew, Spinners also features other actors including David Isaacs, Dillon Windvogel, Brendon Daniels, Chelsea Thomas, and Jihaad Otto in its talented cast. The action-packed entertainer is presented by natives at Large which bankrolled it in collaboration with Empreinte Digitale, a France-based production company.
