SRK praises Nayanthara’s ‘amazing’ role in Jawan, expresses regret for limited screen time

In Jawan, all the women play significant roles and have well-developed characters that depict strength and resilience. None of them are portrayed as victims or inferior.

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan praised Nayanthara’s performance in their recent movie Jawan, describing her track as “amazing.” However, he also mentioned that her screen time was unfortunately limited. These comments came in response to a fan who expressed gratitude to the Jawan team for portraying diverse women characters. Shah Rukh engaged in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on X (formerly known as Twitter), where he shared various interesting responses with his fans.

In response SRK said,”I also felt that the story of Narmada as a single mom was amazing. Unfortunately in the scheme of things couldn’t find more screen time but as is was also wonderful. #Jawan”

Directed by Atlee, the movie Jawan includes several talented female actors such as Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Ridhi Dogra, alongside Nayanthara. In this film, all the women play significant roles and have well-developed characters that depict strength and resilience. None of them are portrayed as victims or inferior. Each woman in the movie showcases their fighting spirit, whether it’s Deepika’s character fighting to protect her son or Nayanthara’s strong portrayal as a boss who is also a single mother. Priyamani’s fighting skills and Ridhi’s supportive nature bring additional depth to the story.

Jawan is getting closer to achieving a global box office collection of ₹1000 crore. The movie premiered on September 7, coinciding with the celebration of Janmashtami. This film also marks the debut collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee.
