New Delhi: Love can be both liberal, yet suffocating. But what if a person is stuck in the same cycle of misery of being suffocated by the so called element of love? To the point his mind starts to believe that being suffocated by love, is it’s truest form?
This is the plot of the upcoming Mandarin series- Suffocating love features the life of a man who falls in love with a control freak and willingly lets her control ever living breathing aspect of his life because he’s hopelessly infatuated with her.
The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform Netflix on the 30th of December, 2024.
Plot
The story follows the life of a man who meets a girl at a popular cafe and eatery. She tells him that her mother taught her a way in which one can make their wishes come true. The man, intrigued by such a thing questions what her mother told her. To this the girl replies that you must do the same thing over and over, 10,000 times.
Though this should make the man steer in the other direction, he finds himself falling for the girl as the seed of love germinates inside of his heart. Moreover, the girl he likes tells him that she has ‘certain’ quirks. She tells that she must check his phone and receipts when he is in the shower.
Therefore, he must also send her pictures with the friends he’s going out with and the place he is hanging out at. His friends tell he is beyond help, or that he is so helplessly infatuated with the girl that he’s willing do whatever she asks of him.
Things take a suspicious turn when the man is offered another chance at love. In a dream, he is granted a wish for the exchange of girlfriends and experience life with someone else.
However, the man believes to be a hoax. However, he wakes up the next morning and finds out that his girlfriends have indeed been exchanged. Will this prove good for him, or are other troubles still awaiting?
