New Delhi: Draft charges has been submitted against actor Rhea Chakroborty in Special NDPS court of receiving deliveries of ganja from Samuel Miranda, Showik Charoborty, Dipesh Sawant and others and handing over those deliveries to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and for making payments for them in 2020.
The draft charges was filed last month in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against 35 accused by the Central anti-drug agency.
However, the details were made available on Tuesday (July 12).
According to the draft charges, it is said that all the accused had entered into the criminal conspiracy between March 2020 and December 2020.
They were involved with each other or in groups to procure, purchase, sell and distribute drugs in “high society and Bollywood”.
It further said that the accused financed drug trafficking and consumed ganja, charas, cocaine and other narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances without valid licence, permit or authorization within the Mumbai Metropolitan region

Therefore, all the accused have been charged under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, including sections 27 and 27 A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) 28 (punishment for attempts to commit offences), 29 (whoever abets, or is a party to a criminal conspiracy), as per the draft charges.
Rhea Chakroborty received deliveries of ganja and made payments
It has mentioned that Rhea Chakroborty, accused number 10 had received many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant and others. It is also said that after receiving the deliveries she handed it to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Also, Rhea is accused of making payments for those deliveries at the instance of Showik and the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput between March 2020 and September that year.
The NCB began its probe into alleged drug case after the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020.
