New Delhi: Supreme Court’s CJI bench, to hear on March 18, an appeal filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) challenging the order of Bombay High Court granting bail to actor Rhea Chakraborty in an alleged drug case.

Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on charges of drug procurement along with Sushant Singh Rajput.

After staying nearly a month in the Byculla jail, she was granted bail by the Bombay High Court.

Further, the Bombay High Court has been challenged in the Supreme Court by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

The actor was granted bail with conditions and was asked to submit a ₹ 1 lakh bond and told not to leave the country without the court’s permission.
