Tejas: Kangana Ranaut’s next flick to take off in December 2020

Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray the role of an Air Force pilot. The Indian Air Force was the first of the country’s defence forces to induct women into combat roles in 2016.

New Delhi: Actor Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, Tejas, is all set to go on floors by December this year, producers announced today. In the upcoming film, Kangana will essay the role of Indian Air Force Pilot. The actress herself took to Twitter to break the news.

Tejas is being produced by the makers of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike.

The ‘Queen’ actor took to Twitter to share the poster that sees her wearing an Air Force uniform as she stands beside the fighter aircraft Tejas.

“#Tejas to take-off this December! Proud to be part of this exhilarating story that is an ode to our brave airforce pilots! Jai Hind

“Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday. Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes … Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie,” Kangana said in a statement.

Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray the role of an Air Force pilot. The Indian Air Force was the first of the country’s defence forces to induct women into combat roles in 2016.

The film takes inspiration from this landmark event. The first look of the film was released earlier in February which featured the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actor donning the Air Force uniform.

Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara and bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala, the film is scheduled to release in April 2021.
